This was the start for our "TJM - election campaign tour". We were the only band this evening and it turned into chaos when we played. The booze seems to be cheap in Söderhamn judging from the crowd. People fell over monitors and döds-jonte puked and tipped over the PA-speakers. Punkrock! Free beer = Wasted TJM!
We woke up by the sound of Henke (our sound engineer) puking like a pig. We didn't know what to expect from this night since Royal Downfall just got 20sek in gage and no food when they played at this place two years ago. We had luck, Kaj is from now on the headchief of Skylten. The food was really good. The gig turned out well! We played with three other punkbands this night. After the show we hit the local pub and had to many beers...hehehe... we almost got in a fight with some nazis. Check out Sylens Bajskorvar!
We had porridge for breakfast before we drove up to Knivsta...Then...Nothing happend...
Fredrik and Victor did an Radio interview for P3 Rock, the rest of the band chilled out in Stockholm. This night we shot lemon-bazooka with General Lindkvist.
Time to cross the sea and deliver some war and destruction in Finland. We took the ferry from Stockholm. We played Eyetoy, gambled and drank some beers.
We arrived in Helsinki in the morning. As soon as Sylen got off the ferry he got busted by the customs, he had to strip naked and they searched all his luggage. Pigs! It's not the first time it happens. We parked the van and did some sightseeing in Helsinki city. Fredrik, Henke and Tompa went back to the hotel earlier because Fredrik had to do a radio interview. At 18:00 it was time to load in and soundcheck. The venue was really nice and it was the first time they arranged a hardcore show. More then 200 punks showed up so the owner of the club was really satisfied. Ann-Marie (Fullsteam Bookings) gave us good thaifood. After the soundcheck we did another radio interview. We played with Endstand and Abduktio. We did a hell of a show!
Lutakko was a well organized buildning in the fancy harbour area. We did a great gig. We played with two other bands, Rakkaus and Abduktio. After the show we met a guy called Iiro, he had traveled over 300 kilometers for this show and he told us that he would go to see us in Vaasa the next day. That trip for him was like 1800 kilometers (back and forth). We drank some beers and fell asleep.
Tonights venue was an old church - SATAN. Meanwhile the band was soundchecking Sylen and Fredrik got lost in Vaasa searching for material to make a tjm logo on the bassdrum. The wind blew cold and it was raining. After the soundcheck we had dinner at the venue, the dinner was fucking great. Then we checked in to the hotel and drank some beer. Fredrik shaved mohawk! Later at the venue a drunk psycho managed to get in to the backstage area. He was out of his mind and tried to beat some of us up. There were two other bands playing, a hardcore act and a metal band. There were a lot of under age people at the show and they were not allowed in the pit since there were a bar there, but during our show the promotor closed the bar so the kids could mosh. Respect! When we entered the stage the whole bulding exploded, the crowd went crazy. This was our best gig so far. After the show the promotor took us out to a club. We drunk a lot of beer and booze. We had a really great night, thanks and cheers to Toni and Ghost Guard. We had to carry Krille home.
Three hours drive and we were in Tampere, last show in Finland. We were tired, hungry, hung over and it was freezing. Everything felt like shit, but still we did a great show. We played with Malena and I Walk the Line. The promoter never even showed up!? Some local punks were friendly and let us sleep at their floor, thanks!
Time to go back to Sweden, we took the ferry from Åbo. Bye bye Finland, we'll be back.
Our roadie Johan "Synth-Fan" Philipsson turned 26. Happy birthday! We celebrated with a shitload of beer.
The traffic in Oslo is messed up, especially if you're from Norrland. Same old story: Load in, soundcheck and check in to the hotel. Found some great food at a persian resturant. Support act for this night was Speedergarben, friends of Sylen, really nice folks. We played a little sloppy at first but things got a little better the second half of the show. It was a chaotic show in many ways. Alot of people turned up and we were quite satisfied at the end. We went back to the hotel with Pelle and Döscalle, drank beer and whiskey, talked shit until we passed out.
Stavanger blew us away. The weather was nice and warm, the food was good and the hotel was luxurious with a view over the sea. The venue was really small and had great intimate touch. We were really exited about the show and it turned out spectacular. Afterwards we went up on the roof of the venue. We relaxed and had a few beers in the moonlight. TJM loves Stavanger.
To get to Bergen we had to drive through tunnels beneath the sea and take two ferries. The nature was beautiful and very black metal - SATAN! When we got to the venue we got greeted by a local bum, no one of us heard what he said. Later the promotor showed up, Dennis "Rockfarfar" was a cool motherfucker. Acoording to local punks he was a legend in Bergen. We checked in to the hotel and watched some swedish television, soundchecked and then Dennis showed us to a thai-resturant. We rested a while before the show then we rocked the arse out of Bergen! We packed our stuff together and went to sleep.
3:45 am we got out of bed and went down to the lobby of the hotel. There were Chris wating, he just got back from a party with some locals, our roadie Philipsson had been on the same party and were nowhere to be found, we had no time to wait so we had to leave him behind, missing in action. We loaded the van and started the journey back to Sweden. See you later Norway. With just 3 hours of sleep we were exhausted. 7 pm we arrived in Falun. We had been driving for 15 hours straight with just one short stop to fill the van vith fuel. We unloaded our gear and managed to get a short soundcheck before the venue opened. Man, were we surprised when the first band introduced them self as Totalt Jävla Mörker, tanks to Klas Cunt for making us laugh the whole night. We were worn and tired by the long journey and lack of sleep but when we got on stage we moshed like never before. Two metalhead from the crowd moshed on stage with us on the two last songs. We were tired as fuck but didn't stop us from roaming the streets of Falun. We had an afterparty at the hotel. We got two warnings from the girl in the reception, one more and we had to search for another hotel...
Recreation day. We ate some breakfast buffet and then we went down to the jacuzzi and sauna of the hotel. In the tub we got this crazy idea to get some last minutes flight tickets somewhere. So after we checked out we went to Arlanda airport. We ended up in China. Victor had to stay home cause there were just five seats left and we flipped coin about the last seat.
After two weeks on the road this was just what we needed.
We took an early flight back to cold Sweden. But no one of us really wanted to go back. Tomorrow the tour continues...
